PUTRAJAYA, March 27 — In light of ongoing tensions surrounding the recent controversy over socks bearing the word “Allah,” Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail today called upon Malaysians to shift their focus to more pressing matters. Despite continued attacks from ally Umno Youth against the convenience store chain involved, Saifuddin emphasized the need to avoid prolonging the issue, urging the nation to prioritize discussions on key socio-economic issues and subsidies.

“Let’s not allow this case to dominate our attention any longer. We have important matters such as economics and subsidies that require our focus, yet we’ve been fixated on this issue for weeks. It’s time to let the judicial process take its course,” he asserted during a media event held here. Acknowledging the emotive nature of the case and its significant impact, Saifuddin urged Malaysians to collectively move forward, emphasizing the importance of directing attention towards issues that directly impact the welfare and well-being of the people.
