KUALA LUMPUR, March 29 – In response to the rising concern of exploiting students on social media, Malaysia’s Communications and Multimedia Content Forum emphasizes the critical need for upholding digital ethics, particularly concerning minors. Echoing the National Union of the Teaching Profession’s call for stricter regulations, the forum underscores the importance of prioritizing children’s welfare and privacy online. Chairman Rafiq Razali stresses adherence to the Content Code, which prioritizes safeguarding minors from potential emotional and physical harm arising from online content. By supporting NUTP’s advocacy for tighter regulations, the forum aims to promote responsible digital citizenship among educators and ensure a safer online environment for students across Malaysia.
