PUTRAJAYA, March 29 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasized the importance of prioritizing work over holiday speculations, urging Malaysians to maintain their focus on their professional responsibilities. Responding to queries regarding the possibility of April 12 being declared a public holiday following Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Anwar lightheartedly reminded reporters to demonstrate passion for their work during a media interaction outside Masjid Putra in Putrajaya.
Amid discussions surrounding the two-day Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday on April 10 and 11, Anwar emphasized that April 12 remains a designated working day before the weekend. The Prime Minister’s remarks came during his attendance at the Majlis Iftar Madani event, organized by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim), where he emphasized the significance of dedication to work. The event, which saw the preparation of approximately 10,000 meals for the public to break their fast, was also attended by Minister of Education Fadhlina Sidek, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim, and Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul.
