KUALA LUMPUR, March 30 – Apple Malaysia has quietly launched a new trade-in program, allowing Malaysian customers to exchange their older Apple devices for credit towards a new purchase. Available for all new Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and Macs, the program offers users the opportunity to upgrade their devices conveniently. To participate, users simply visit the official Apple website, where they’ll find a small button or widget on the buy page of the desired Apple product, or further down in the customization page. Here, they can select the option to use Apple Trade In and input the necessary information about the device they wish to trade in.
The trade-in values vary depending on the device, with options ranging from RM150 for an iPhone 6 Plus to up to RM4,200 for an iPad Pro. After submitting the serial number for their device, users will receive an estimated value, which will be applied as credit towards their new purchase once Apple receives and confirms the condition of the traded-in device. Customers have a grace period of 14 days after receiving the new device to arrange for the pickup or drop-off of their older device. Additionally, Apple provides a recycling program for older devices, offering free recycling services for devices of any brand.
