LABUAN, April 10 – Labuan IBFC Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Labuan IBFC Inc.), the official marketing agency for the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre (Labuan IBFC), has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council of Rector of Indonesia State University (CRISU) to facilitate the placement of Indonesian university students in Labuan IBFC businesses.
The non-binding MoU, signed by Datuk Iskandar Mohd Nuli, Executive Chairman cum CEO of Labuan IBFC Inc., and Prof. Ganefri Ph.D., Chair of CRISU – Indonesia, underscores a joint commitment to fostering bilateral ties and enriching Labuan’s talent pool with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas. This collaboration, aligned with Labuan IBFC’s 2022-2026 Strategic Roadmap and the Ekonomi Madani framework, aims to enhance market facilitation and visibility while promoting Labuan’s innovative ecosystem.
Datuk Iskandar Mohd Nuli expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential to expand industry talent and deepen market insights, while Prof. Ganefri Ph.D. highlighted the opportunity for students to gain exposure to Labuan IBFC businesses and build future employment prospects. This strategic alliance is poised to advance mutual understanding, facilitate market development, and spur growth in sectors such as Islamic finance, fintech, and wealth management, aligning with the aspirations of the BIMP EAGA economic corridor.
