KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 – In light of the recent discovery of six firearms in the possession of a detained Israeli individual, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has raised the possibility of bolstering security measures for high-profile figures, including the King and the Prime Minister, as a precautionary measure. Despite the detained individual’s purported aim to target a compatriot in Malaysia, the IGP highlighted the unusual number of firearms found and stressed the importance of delving deeper into the motive behind their possession.

During a press conference addressing the issue, Razarudin emphasized the need for further investigation into why the detained individual was carrying six weapons while purportedly targeting a single person. He suggested that such discoveries prompt a reassessment of security protocols for very important persons (VVIPs), particularly for figures such as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Prime Minister. Furthermore, investigators are actively pursuing at least two additional individuals linked to the detained Israeli, comprising both locals and foreigners, indicating a broader scope to the ongoing investigation.
