GEORGE TOWN, April 20 – The Penang Chamber Music Festival, presented by the Penang Art District, is set to enchant audiences of all ages on May 4, 2024, at Wawasan University in Penang. This unique musical celebration offers four concerts tailored to different age groups, including the first-ever concert exclusively designed for babies aged 0-3 years old in Penang and Malaysia. Families can also enjoy interactive sessions like the “Move to Music Concert” for Kids and Families, where award-winning dancer Mich Elle will lead children in body movements accompanied by beautiful classical chamber music.
Dr. Esther Shin Chuang, the visionary behind the festival, emphasizes the festival’s inclusive nature, stating, “Classical music is beneficial for all ages, but often babies and kids are not welcomed at classical concerts. Hence, we created a festival with concerts suitable for every age, ensuring everyone can revel in the beauty of music.” With a lineup featuring acclaimed musicians like violinist Yoko Mano and cellist Rachel An, the festival aims to introduce classical music to children, educate families about its rich history, and deepen the audience’s appreciation for this timeless art form.
