SHAH ALAM, April 23 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reassured the public that the Unity government remains robust and cohesive, with strong ties among its component parties contributing to its stability. Addressing concerns regarding recent issues, Anwar emphasized the government’s ability to discuss and address challenges effectively within the Cabinet, despite occasional negotiations outside its confines.
Anwar dismissed claims of rifts within the government, attributing dissenting voices to external factors rather than internal discord. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to implementing reforms and maintaining judicial independence and law enforcement integrity. Anwar stressed that any allegations of corruption or abuse of power would be met with accountability, underscoring the government’s dedication to upholding governance principles.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came during the 25th PKR Convention, attended by over 5,000 delegates, as part of the party’s Silver Jubilee celebration. Anwar urged unity among party members and emphasized the importance of continued efforts to serve the nation responsibly.
