KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 – In honor of Earth Day 2024, ZALORA, Asia’s leading fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform, proudly announces its sustainability achievements for the year 2023. Committed to building a lower impact fashion ecosystem in the region, ZALORA has implemented various initiatives and strategic partnerships to reduce its environmental footprint and promote sustainability across its operations. One significant achievement is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by over 3% across its markets.

ZALORA achieved this by implementing sustainable delivery solutions, such as electric motorcycle deliveries in Indonesia and hybrid vehicles in Singapore. Additionally, the company successfully piloted bicycle deliveries in Kuala Lumpur and walking deliveries in Hong Kong, promoting eco-friendly transportation methods. ZALORA also prioritized partnerships with value chain partners committed to environmental standards, resulting in an increase in sustainable Net Merchandise Value (NMV) to 11% in 2023.

Furthermore, the company reduced its total non-renewable energy consumption by 12% in Southeast Asia compared to 2021. These efforts, along with advancements in sustainable packaging and circularity solutions, demonstrate ZALORA’s dedication to driving positive change within the fashion industry and fostering a more sustainable future.
