KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 – At the Hannover Messe 2024 trade show in Germany, the State Government of Selangor’s Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDCx) sealed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Orangeleaf Consulting and Mendix, a Siemens business, marking a pivotal moment in Malaysia’s journey toward technological advancement. The partnership, announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, aims to establish Southeast Asia’s largest integrated circuit design hub in Selangor, positioning Malaysia as a key player in semiconductors and clean energy.
By leveraging Mendix’s low-code platform, the collaboration seeks to foster innovation, nurture local talent, and drive digital transformation within the energy, digital, and mechanical and electrical engineering sectors. Chief Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari emphasized the importance of the partnership in promoting technological advancement, reducing the digital divide, and driving economic growth in Selangor. The initiative underscores Malaysia’s commitment to empowering businesses and individuals to thrive in the vibrant digital economy, further solidifying the nation’s position as a global leader in technology and innovation.
