MELAKA, April 30 – ATX Semiconductor Group, a globally recognized provider of semiconductor assembly and test services, celebrated the inauguration of its inaugural manufacturing plant in Free Trade Zone III, Batu Berendam, Melaka. Named ATX Semiconductor (Melaka) Sdn. Bhd., this plant marks ATX Group’s first venture outside China, reinforcing its commitment to global expansion and technological innovation.

With an investment exceeding USD55 million (RM258 million), the new facility signifies a significant step towards bolstering ATX Group’s production capacity and catering to the growing demand in Malaysia and neighboring regions. Expected to commence full-scale operations in the first half of 2026, the plant’s establishment underscores ATX’s strategic vision and dedication to driving excellence in the semiconductor industry on an international scale. The event, graced by Melaka state government officials, representatives from the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), ATX customers, and business partners, marks a milestone in Malaysia’s economic landscape.

En. Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid, CEO of MIDA, hailed ATX Semiconductor’s investment as a testament to Malaysia’s attractiveness as an investment destination, highlighting its potential to create over 2,000 jobs and fortify the country’s supply chains.
