HULU SELANGOR, May 7 ― Barisan Nasional (BN) secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir affirmed the unity government’s solidarity as evidenced by the collective efforts of party machinery in campaigning for the Kuala Kubu Baru (KKB) state by-election. Zambry emphasized that the collaboration among various parties to ensure victory for the unity government candidate dispels any notions of internal discord within the coalition. Speaking at the Labour Day Unity event in Rasa, Batang Kali, Zambry expressed confidence in the coalition’s objectives to secure success for its candidate, Pang Sock Tao.
Despite challenges, he remains optimistic about garnering support, particularly from the Indian community in Kuala Kubu Baru, urging voters not to be swayed by propaganda. Meanwhile, DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng urged voters to choose wisely, emphasizing alignment with state and federal government aspirations. The KKB by-election, slated for May 11, will witness Pang Sock Tao competing against candidates from Perikatan Nasional, Parti Rakyat Malaysia, and an independent contestant, following the demise of the incumbent Lee Kee Hiong.
