SUBANG, May 15 — Transport Minister Anthony Loke revealed plans today to restart the Skypark Link, a train service connecting KL Sentral station to Skypark Terminal at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (LTSAAS). Loke clarified that while the service was temporarily halted, it was never fully abandoned, with maintenance ongoing on the existing track. The minister outlined a revised approach for the Skypark Link, indicating a potential joint venture or collaboration with other parties to enhance the service.

Loke emphasized the importance of revitalizing the terminal to attract more passengers, particularly given its strategic location in the congested Klang Valley area. Additionally, Loke highlighted the broader vision for Subang Airport, aiming to establish it as a hub for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) and aerospace activities, with plans outlined in the Subang Airport Regeneration Plan (SARP). This comprehensive plan aims to foster the growth of business aviation and create a robust aerospace ecosystem, projected to contribute significantly to Malaysia’s economy and job market over the next 25 years.
