KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 – MCA President Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong has responded to allegations linking him to the death threat received by DAP’s Teresa Kok, urging her not to associate him with such serious matters. Wee expressed his discomfort at being mentioned in relation to the threat, emphasizing that it could lead to misunderstandings among their respective supporters. He also took a light-hearted jab at the quality of Malay language used in the threatening message, asserting that his proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia was better than suggested by the message.

Following Kok’s receipt of the death threat, Wee emphasized the need for investigators to carry out their duties after a police report had been filed. He further clarified that neither he nor MCA would condone such actions and collectively condemned them. Wee also indirectly referenced past disputes between Kok and himself, hinting at the need for Kok to recall any past grievances she may have caused.
