KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to embark on a three-day working visit to Japan, commencing from May 22 to 24. The visit coincides with his participation in the 29th International Conference on the Future of Asia (Nikkei Conference), hosted by Nikkei Inc. Anwar will be accompanied by key ministers including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, and Minister of Human Resources.

The Nikkei Conference, an esteemed annual gathering since 1995, serves as a platform for global leaders to discuss the future of Asia. Anwar’s keynote address, themed “Asian Leadership in an Uncertain World,” marks his first participation since assuming office as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister. Alongside delivering his address, Anwar is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to fortify Malaysia-Japan relations, particularly focusing on areas such as technology, energy, defense, and education collaboration.
