KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 – The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) hosted the MIA Accounting & Financial Technology Showcase 2024 (MIA AFT), a premier event designed to present cutting-edge tech solutions tailored for accountancy and finance professionals. This one-day showcase is a rebranding of the MIA AccTech conference, initially launched in 2018, and aims to enhance MIA’s digital advocacy efforts, aligning with the MIA Digital Technology Blueprint.
MIA President YBhg Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamad Zabidi Ahmad highlighted the event’s focus on updating industry leaders about the latest tech advancements and collaborating with tech innovators to propose solutions that can optimize accounting processes, streamline operations, and harness data analytics. Featuring key themes such as generative AI and e-Invoicing, the showcase also addressed cybersecurity, analytics, and automation. The event attracted nearly 2,500 participants and included 29 sessions led by 36 tech and business experts, reflecting the strong interest in digital transformation within the profession.
