KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — Bursa Malaysia Berhad has launched an Application Programming Interface (API) Gateway aimed at improving the efficiency of Central Depository System (CDS) account management by Participating Organisations (POs). This technology-driven initiative aims to streamline account opening, updating, and reactivation processes, significantly shortening turnaround times and enabling retail investors to trade swiftly.
Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift, CEO of Bursa Malaysia, emphasized the Exchange’s dedication to customer-centric innovations. The API Gateway, now operational with five POs including AmInvestment Bank and FSMOne, facilitates quicker account activation and real-time trading. This initiative is part of Bursa Malaysia’s broader efforts to enhance investor participation, improve customer experience, and support sustainability practices by reducing carbon footprints.
