This momentous occasion marks The World as the 32nd cruise ship to visit Langkawi, reinforcing the island’s reputation as a premier luxury travel spot. A special welcoming ceremony will commemorate this event, celebrating Langkawi’s growing allure. In 2023, Langkawi experienced a significant resurgence in tourism, highlighted by improved air and ferry services and enhanced connectivity through three main ports:
Telaga Terminal, Kuah Jetty, and Langkawi Cruise Terminal. This revival is evident from the surge in cruise visitors, with a total of 31,456 in 2023, a remarkable increase from the 3,261 visitors in 2022.
