KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 — Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) dominated Kuala Lumpur City FC (KL City) with a resounding 5-1 victory in the 2024/2025 Liga Super match at Cheras Football Stadium. Despite a weather delay, JDT took control with Fernando Martin Forestieri scoring the opener, followed by goals from Juan Muniz Gallego, Forestieri again, and Muhammad Syahmi Safari.
KL City’s Paulo Josue managed a free-kick goal, but it wasn’t enough to counter JDT’s relentless offense. This win propels JDT to the top of the league with nine points, while KL City remains in 10th place with one point. Meanwhile, Sabah FC secured a 2-1 win over Kuching City FC, and Penang FC drew 1-1 with PDRM FC.
