KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 – The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first venue in Malaysia to receive a ‘Healthy Venue’ certification from the Healthy Venues organisation. Awarded the Bronze Level accreditation, the Centre has been recognised for its commitment to integrating wellness into events through healthier eating, movement, and workplace health initiatives. John Burke, the Centre’s General Manager, highlighted the importance of this achievement, stating, “This new milestone further strengthens our position as a world-class venue and industry leader on par with global standards.

Research shows that healthy meeting environments can boost delegate productivity and create positive event experiences. This accreditation not only enhances the confidence of event organisers in our venue but also helps attract more delegates to their events here.” The Centre met stringent requirements, including offering healthy catering options, promoting active meetings, and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among team members and the wider community.
