KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 – Varia Berhad (“Varia” or the “Group”), a key player in construction and property development, has reported robust financial results for the fourth quarter of FY2024. The Group achieved RM65.78 million in revenue for Q4 FY2024, a remarkable 1,654% increase from the negative revenue of RM4.23 million in Q4 FY2023. This significant growth was fueled by the successful integration of Pembinaan Teguh Maju Sdn Bhd (PTM) and effective strategic leadership. Additionally, Varia recorded a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of RM1.99 million, a 33% increase from RM1.49 million in the same period last year.

The construction segment was a major contributor, generating RM58.62 million in revenue and RM5.90 million in PBT, with notable projects such as Perkeso, Pulau Indah, and KHPP driving performance. For the twelve months ending 31 March 2024, Varia reported RM148.31 million in revenue, up 404% from the previous year, with a PBT of RM8.39 million, marking a substantial turnaround from a Loss Before Tax (LBT) of RM10.81 million in 12M FY2023. Datuk Benson Lau, Managing Director of Varia, attributed the impressive results to strategic acquisitions and the execution of key projects, expressing optimism about sustaining this growth trajectory as Varia continues to explore new opportunities in the construction and property development sectors.
