KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 – The Ministry of Digital has announced that Malaysia’s 5G network coverage has now reached 85% of populated areas. This marks a significant milestone as the country continues to enhance its 5G infrastructure month by month. Despite the high coverage rate, the number of users on 5G-enabled devices remains undisclosed, and adoption rates are still relatively low. The government has mandated that telecommunications companies should not impose additional charges for 5G access, aiming to increase user adoption.
