TAIWAN, June 5 – At the Intel Technology Tour, Intel revealed its groundbreaking Lunar Lake architecture, set to redefine performance and efficiency in next-generation client products. Yaron Alankry, Vice President of Client Computing Group and General Manager of Silicon Engineering, alongside Arik Gihon, Senior Principal Engineer of SoC Architecture, highlighted the architecture’s potential to deliver unmatched x86 power efficiency, exceptional core performance, and a significant leap in graphics for mobile gaming.

This new architecture also boasts future-ready AI compute capabilities and extended scalability for upcoming generations. Lunar Lake’s architecture features two unique tiles connected via Intel’s Foveros packaging technology. The Compute Tile houses the latest Efficient-cores and Performance-cores, the new Xe2 GPU, and the neural processing unit (NPU 4), providing over 50% more gaming performance and three times the AI throughput of previous generations.

The Platform Controller Tile integrates advanced security and connectivity features, including Wi-Fi 7.0, Bluetooth 5.4, and Thunderbolt 4 ports. With innovations such as a power delivery integrated controller and enhanced Thread Director, Lunar Lake offers up to 60% better battery life, setting a new benchmark for system-on-chip efficiency and power management.
