KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 – Nvidia and AMD are set to revolutionize the gaming laptop market by integrating Microsoft’s Copilot Plus AI features, initially designed for Qualcomm-powered laptops. Unveiled at Computex, Nvidia announced the forthcoming “RTX AI PC” laptops from Asus and MSI, featuring GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs and power-efficient systems-on-a-chip with Windows 11 AI PC capabilities. Nvidia’s blog post confirmed that these laptops would utilize AMD’s latest Strix CPUs, which are yet to be officially detailed by AMD.

While these AI-enhanced laptops will initially launch without Copilot Plus features, a free update will eventually bring Microsoft’s AI capabilities to these devices. This strategic move aligns with Nvidia’s efforts to ensure its GPUs remain pivotal for AI tasks, emphasizing their superior capacity for handling complex AI workloads compared to NPUs. Nvidia is also launching an RTX AI Toolkit in June to optimize and deploy AI models efficiently, further solidifying its collaboration with Microsoft in advancing AI-powered computing.
