NIBONG TEBAL, June 12 — In a heartfelt gesture ahead of Hari Raya Aidiladha, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended generous donations totaling RM290,000 to nine mosques and 20 suraus in the Sungai Bakap state constituency. Presented by Anwar’s Senior Political Secretary, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, the contributions aim to support the upcoming celebrations slated for next Monday.
At the Masjid Abu Ubaidah Ibni Al-Jarrah in Bandar Tasek Mutiara, representatives from each mosque and surau received RM10,000 to facilitate the traditional sacrificial rites synonymous with Aidiladha. Shamsul Iskandar highlighted the Prime Minister’s steadfast dedication to uplifting Islam, ensuring its vibrancy within the community during significant festivities. The donations underscore Anwar’s commitment to promoting the values of sacrifice and obedience to Allah, enriching the moral fabric of society as it gathers to celebrate.
