Netgear has unveiled two new Wi-Fi 7 routers today, the Nighthawk RS300 and the Orbi 770, offering a more cost-effective entry into Wi-Fi 7 technology. Both routers feature 2.5Gbps ports and 320MHz channels, which can potentially double wireless bandwidth for compatible devices. The Orbi 770, priced at $999.99 for a three-pack, provides four 2.5Gbps ports on the main router and two on each satellite node, offering significant connectivity at a lower price compared to its predecessor, the Orbi 970.

The Nighthawk RS300, priced at $329.99, is a tri-band router with one 2.5Gbps ethernet port for connecting to a modem and three additional ethernet ports for wired internet connections. It supports up to 100 devices and covers approximately 2,500 square feet. Both models take advantage of Multi-Link Operation (MLO) in the Wi-Fi 7 standard, ensuring a faster and more stable connection by allowing simultaneous connections on two bands. The Orbi 770 and Nighthawk RS300 are available for preorder on Netgear’s website, with broader retail availability expected soon.
