KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 – Pos Malaysia Berhad, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Kiplepay, has launched an online payment system for the Ubat Melalui Pos (UMP) service, enhancing healthcare accessibility for Malaysians. Operational since 2011, UMP has delivered over 348,501 prescription parcels from July to December 2023, ensuring patients receive their medications at home.
The new online payment feature, integrated into the MOH’s MyUBAT app, supports various payment methods, offering secure and convenient transactions. Charles Brewer, Group CEO of Pos Malaysia, highlighted the initiative’s commitment to innovation and accessibility, while Norhaliza A. Halim, MOH’s Senior Director of Pharmacy Services, emphasized its alignment with digital transformation goals. Norhizam Kadir of Kiplepay expressed excitement about providing hassle-free digital payments.
