KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), in partnership with Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Berhad (MIDF), held the National Investment Seminar: Re-Energising Domestic Investment at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The seminar, aimed at empowering SMEs, provided crucial insights on facilitation, incentives, and business networking opportunities within the manufacturing and services sectors. Over 300 participants, including industry leaders, government officials, and financial institutions, attended the event.

Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), YB Liew Chin Tong, highlighted the importance of robust supply chains and the government’s ambitious agenda to grow, tech-up, and green up industries under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership. Emphasizing support for SMEs, Chairman of MIDA, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Sulaiman Mahbob, and Vice President of FMM, Mr. Jacob Lee, underscored the significance of enhancing productivity and competitiveness. The seminar included breakout sessions on key topics like industrial linkage, regional development, and financing opportunities, aiming to strengthen domestic investment and Malaysia’s global appeal.
