KULIM, KEDAH, June 27  Technology Depository Agency Berhad (TDA), under the Ministry of Finance (MoF), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MIMOS Berhad, a research and development organization under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). This agreement, announced at the launch of the Semicon Research Consortium and MIMOS Academy in Kulim, aims to advance the development of electrical and electronics (E&E), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and data storage technology in Penang and nearby areas.

“This MoU signifies more than just collaboration; it represents a shared vision for the future,” said Dr. Sharoul Jambari, CEO of TDA. The partnership is expected to provide Malaysian companies with easier access to advanced E&E technologies, fostering a robust E&E technology ecosystem in the region. The collaboration will also enhance TDA’s Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) by connecting promising technology companies with MIMOS’s state-of-the-art resources, driving innovation and commercialisation of groundbreaking R&D projects, and strengthening Malaysia’s position in the global tech industry.
