SUNGAI BAKAP, June 29 — Hospitalized patients in Sungai Bakap may be able to vote in the upcoming by-election with their doctor’s approval, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad announced today. He emphasized that high-risk patients should consult with specialists before voting to avoid any health complications.

Dzulkefly’s statement came during his visit to the Sungai Bakap Hospital, where he also inaugurated the upgraded Emergency and Trauma Department and discussed future healthcare developments, including plans for a new hospital building to accommodate the area’s growing population. The by-election, set for July 6, will see a contest between Pakatan Harapan’s Joohari Ariffin and Perikatan Nasional’s Abidin Ismail.
