UNITED STATE, June 30 — Microsoft has launched its new range of Copilot Plus PCs, featuring a dedicated Copilot key on the keyboard, marking the first significant change to Windows keyboards in 30 years. However, the new key only launches a Progressive Web App (PWA) version of Copilot, significantly reducing its functionality.

Unlike the previous integrated Copilot experience, the PWA version cannot control Windows 11 settings or dock as a sidebar. Additionally, Microsoft has removed the keyboard shortcut for Copilot on these PCs, making WINKEY + C non-functional. Microsoft has stated that the change will allow them to “more agilely develop and optimize” Copilot, though many users are disappointed by the reduced capabilities.
