GEORGE TOWN, July 2 – This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the fashion design course for art students at Han Chiang High School (HCHS). The fashion design course at HCHS is designed to provide students with an avenue to better understand the connection and relationship between art and fashion. Students in the art stream must not only take the core subjects in arts but also focus on subjects listed in design.

Annually, students work diligently towards their graduation ceremony, where their masterpieces and creations are showcased. This milestone event highlights the hard work and creativity of these aspiring designers. For three years, the students have demonstrated perseverance, effort, and determination, producing work of exceptionally high quality.

The upcoming session on July 8th at 2:00 PM during Georgetown Fashion Week 2024, curated by Ivan Choo and Velvet Signature, will feature the latest creations from the HCHS fashion design students. This event will serve as a testament to their dedication and talent, offering a glimpse into the future of fashion and art.

As Han Chiang High School celebrates this significant milestone, the institution continues to foster a nurturing environment where students can explore and excel in the intertwined worlds of art and fashion. Fashion aficionados and enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating George Town Fashion Week 2024, set to unfold at the Central Atrium of Queensbay Mall, Penang, on July 7-8, 2024.
