KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 – KLS Martin Group, a renowned name in the medical device industry since 1896, has inaugurated a new service centre in MWE Plaza to support its regional sales, service team, and new biomedical engineering activities for medical implants design. This expansion underlines KLS Martin’s continued growth in Malaysia, which began in 2014 with its manufacturing operations in Bukit Minyak, Penang.
During the inauguration, Dato’ Loo Lee Lian, Chief Executive Officer of InvestPenang, expressed pride in hosting KLS Martin for almost a decade, highlighting the confidence German investors have in Penang. She remarked, “Penang is often lauded as a vibrant medtech hub of Asia. I am optimistic that KLS Martin will continue to reap many benefits from its operation in Penang.” The new facility was officiated by several key figures from KLS Martin, including Mr. Karl Leibinger, Mr. Christian Leibinger, Mr. Michael Martin, Mr. Christian Markgraf, Dato’ Hans Brenner, and Mr. Gilles Waeldin.
