PUTRAJAYA, July 31 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced an additional RM100 million funding to bolster security facilities along Malaysia’s northern border. This initiative, aimed at enhancing safety and infrastructure in Kelantan, Kedah, and Perlis, underscores the government’s commitment to securing the region.
In conjunction with this, Anwar is set to meet with Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin on August 3 to discuss border security and stimulate economic cooperation between northern Malaysia and southern Thailand. The talks will focus on advancing key connectivity projects, including road alignments and infrastructure improvements at the border, to foster economic activities and enhance regional well-being.
