GEORGE TOWN, August 5 — Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital is thrilled to announce that registration for the ‘H.U.G.S’ Charity Run is now open. Scheduled for November 10th at Gurney Paragon, this event aims to raise RM200,000 for the Cancer Welfare Fund (TKPKMM) to support underprivileged cancer patients. The acronym ‘H.U.G.S’ stands for Hope, Understanding, and Group Support, reflecting the event’s mission to foster community unity and raise awareness about cancer.
Participants can register for the 5 KM run until September 13th, with early bird rates of RM50 per person available until August 16th. Groups of 20 or more can benefit from a reduced rate of RM45 per person. All funds raised will go directly to Mount Miriam’s Cancer Welfare Fund to assist with medical expenses. Donations are also encouraged, with tax-exempt receipts provided. Join us in making a difference and supporting those in need.
