KUALA LUMPUR, August 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed recent speculative reports suggesting a new Cabinet reshuffle is on the horizon. The rumours, circulated by a news portal citing unnamed sources, alleged that Anwar was considering replacing a prominent minister less than a year after the last reshuffle.

In response to the speculation, Anwar expressed surprise and confusion, stating, “I just found out. I haven’t heard anything yet. Who is supposed to help with the Cabinet reshuffle?” He also mentioned that any potential changes involving a menteri besar might only occur after the general election. Last year’s reshuffle saw significant changes, including the appointment of seven new ministers and the transfer of five others.
