KUALA LUMPUR, August 14 — RHB Banking Group, in collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet), has launched the Dynamic DuitNow QR (DNQR) Soundbox featuring a keypad, marking a significant step forward in combating payment fraud. This innovative device supports both static and dynamic QR payments and includes an integrated calculator function, enhancing transaction efficiency and reducing human error. It is especially suited for high-volume transaction environments like retail and food services.
Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, Managing Director of Group Wholesale Banking at RHB, highlighted the DNQR Soundbox’s role in enhancing security through real-time voice and visual alerts. Since its launch in December 2023, the DNQR Soundbox has been deployed at nearly 4,000 merchant locations, contributing to a 33% increase in transaction volumes and values. RHB aims to become one of Malaysia’s top three DuitNow banks by year-end and expand its network to support the country’s digital economy.
