KUALA LUMPUR, August 15 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil announced today that Malaysian civil servants will see salary increases ranging from 15% to 47%, depending on their ranks and positions. The new salary adjustments are set to be detailed in the upcoming Budget 2025, which will be presented to Parliament on October 18.
Fahmi revealed that guidelines for the salary increments will be distributed next week. While lower-ranking civil servants, including those in the Kumpulan Pelaksana, are expected to see the highest increases, higher-ranking officials will receive more moderate adjustments. The comprehensive details on the financial implications of these salary hikes will be outlined in the federal budget. The move reflects the government’s broader strategy to enhance compensation across both the public and private sectors.
