GEORGE TOWN, August 16 – IJM Land Berhad (“IJM Land”) has announced a temporary closure of the motorcycle lanes on Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway, effective from 19 August 2024 to 15 November 2024. This closure will impact both the George Town-bound and Bayan Lepas-bound routes in stages to facilitate road widening and the construction of an elevated intersection for THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang.
The construction work will occur in phases, with each phase lasting approximately one month. During this period, the bicycle lane will remain open. IJM Land will implement a comprehensive traffic management plan to minimize disruptions and adjust traffic flows as needed. The public’s understanding and patience are appreciated as these essential improvements aim to enhance road network connectivity and support increased traffic capacity.
