KUALA LUMPUR, August 17 — SME Bank and Lembaga Tabung Haji have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malaysia. The partnership aims to integrate SME Bank’s Shariah-compliant financial solutions with Tabung Haji’s extensive network, offering tailored financing and capacity-building programs to local vendors and entrepreneurs.

Under the MoU, Tabung Haji will promote SME Bank’s programs to its vendors, while SME Bank’s subsidiary, CEDAR, will provide training and development programs for these vendors. The collaboration will also explore structured financing schemes and jointly organize events to support MSME growth. This strategic alliance underscores both institutions’ commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth and adhering to Shariah principles.
