KUALA LUMPUR, August 21 – FedEx has been awarded the ‘Best in Community Engagement & Green Initiatives’ accolade at the Sustainability and CSR Malaysia Awards 2024, marking a new milestone for the company. This award highlights FedEx’s dedication to both community service and environmental sustainability, following three consecutive wins in the ‘Best in Community Engagement Support’ category. The recognition was received by Woon Tien Long, Managing Director of FedEx Malaysia, from Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
FedEx was honored for its impactful CSR efforts, including the FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge, which has positively impacted over 9,200 Malaysian students since its inception in 2008. Additionally, the company’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its support for urban community gardens and the planting of 100 tree seedlings. Woon Tien Long praised the FedEx team’s dedication to enhancing community well-being and environmental stewardship, reaffirming the company’s ongoing commitment to making a difference locally and globally.
