GEORGE TOWN, August 22 – Penang-based Iconic Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Cheah to the role of Group General Manager, effective September 1, 2024. In his expanded role, Cheah will oversee the operations of Iconic Hotel Penang, Iconic Regency Service Residences, and the upcoming 5-star Iconic Marjorie Hotel, set to open in Q4 2024.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Cheah has been instrumental in the success of Iconic Hotel Penang since joining as General Manager in April 2018. His extensive background includes leadership roles with prestigious international hotel brands such as Shangri-La and Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
Cheah also plays an active role in the Penang travel industry, serving as vice chairman of the Malaysia Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter. Iconic Group is confident that Cheah’s strategic vision and commitment to excellence will drive continued success across its properties. His leadership will be key in positioning the Iconic Marjorie Hotel as a premier destination in Penang’s hospitality landscape.
