KUALA LUMPUR, August 24 — FGV Holdings Berhad has introduced a Reimbursement Programme for former migrant workers, underscoring its commitment to ethical recruitment practices. The initiative invites former workers from Indonesia, India, and Bangladesh, who were employed by FGV between September 30, 2018, and December 31, 2022, to submit claims for reimbursement under the company’s ‘No Recruitment Fee’ principle.
The programme is part of FGV’s broader effort to ensure responsible labour practices across its operations. Former workers are encouraged to apply online by December 31, 2024, providing necessary documentation such as passport details and bank information. FGV has allocated RM112 million for this initiative, with RM74.15 million already disbursed to over 22,000 migrant workers. This initiative reflects FGV’s ongoing commitment to upholding human rights and ensuring ethical treatment of its workforce.
