KUALA LUMPUR, August 27 — Grab Malaysia clarified today that it was neither informed nor consulted about the recent open letter addressed to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by the Asia Internet Coalition (AIC) regarding proposed regulations on social media and instant messaging platforms.
Grab stated that the proposed regulatory framework does not impact its operations, and as such, the company has not commented on the matter. Despite the ongoing discussions surrounding the regulation, Grab emphasized its continued commitment to collaborating with the Malaysian government, underscoring its mission to contribute positively to the nation’s development.
