KUALA LUMPUR, August 29 – Early this morning, two divers from the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department encountered strong undercurrents while attempting to locate an obstruction in the sewage tunnel at Jalan Masjid India, where an Indian national, Vijayaletchumy, 48, fell into a sinkhole last Friday. The divers, equipped with scuba gear, were forced to abort their mission after failing to approach the area due to the dangerous currents.

The obstruction, detected earlier by K9 unit dogs and camera surveillance, had raised hopes of locating Vijayaletchumy. Despite the team’s efforts, including pumping out water and sewage, the search and rescue operation has yet to yield any results as it enters its seventh day. The situation remains tense, with no official updates from the authorities as of 4:30 AM.
