KUALA LUMPUR, September 1 — Chan Ai Cheng has been awarded the prestigious Estate Agent of the Year 2023 at the 26th Convocation & Dinner organized by the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents, and Property Managers Malaysia (BOVAEP). This accolade highlights her significant contributions to the Malaysian real estate industry and her exemplary leadership, marking a historic achievement as the first second-generation woman to receive this honor.
Chan, who served as the President of the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) from 2021 to 2023, followed in the footsteps of her father, Charlie Chan, a former MIEA President. Under her leadership, MIEA saw increased memberships, enhanced visibility, and strengthened financial stability. Her initiatives, including launching educational resources and support services for small real estate firms, have set new standards in the industry.
Chan expressed her pride in continuing her family’s legacy, emphasizing the importance of integrity, excellence, and community service in the profession.
