SEPANG, September 8 – In celebration of Malaysia’s 67th Independence Day and Malaysia Day, Malaysia Airports has launched the ‘Warisan Kulinari Kita’ campaign at KL International Airport (KLIA). Running from 20 August to 20 September 2024, the initiative showcases Malaysia’s diverse culinary traditions, giving travellers a unique opportunity to experience the nation’s rich gastronomic heritage. Highlights include a life-sized traditional kampung house, a Herbs Garden, and live cooking demonstrations featuring local ingredients like butterfly pea flower and pandan.

For the first time, KLIA T1 features a paddy field installation symbolizing Malaysia’s staple food, rice, with traditional rice-based dishes like Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, and Nasi Biryani. Through these offerings, ‘Warisan Kulinari Kita’ celebrates Malaysia’s culinary unity and provides an immersive cultural experience for both travellers and locals. Malaysia Airports aims to promote local F&B businesses while showcasing Malaysia’s vibrant cultural tapestry to the world.
