CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA, September 10 – Apple has announced that its new personal intelligence system, Apple Intelligence, will roll out starting next month with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. The system combines advanced generative models with personal context to streamline tasks and enhance the user experience, all while maintaining strong privacy protections. Key features include systemwide Writing Tools for proofreading and summarizing text, new photo and video search capabilities, and a more natural, flexible Siri interface.
Initially available in the U.S., Apple Intelligence will expand to additional English-speaking regions by December, with localized versions for Australia, the U.K., and more. Features like the Clean Up tool in Photos and summarized notifications across apps are designed to simplify everyday tasks, while ensuring users’ data remains secure with Apple’s Private Cloud Compute.
Apple’s latest iPhone 16 models, powered by the A18 and A18 Pro chips, are optimized for Apple Intelligence. The company also plans to introduce further features throughout the year, including the Image Playground for creative visuals and expanded Siri capabilities that leverage personal context across apps.
