GEORGE TOWN, September 14 — Outgoing Penang DAP chairman Chow Kon Yeow has expressed his support for national party secretary-general Anthony Loke’s proposal to nominate Human Resources Minister Steven Sim as the next state leader, with Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying as state secretary.
Chow emphasized that while the “Sim-Lim” formula is worth considering, the final decision rests with the party delegates. Chow acknowledged that Loke had likely evaluated the leadership combination thoroughly before suggesting it, highlighting the importance of planning for the party’s future. The Penang DAP state polls will take place on September 22, with the delegates deciding on the leadership direction.
