GEORGE TOWN, September 14 — IJM Land Berhad has announced the postponement of a planned lane closure and traffic diversion on the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway. Originally set for 12 September, the closure has been rescheduled to 18 September 2024. The George Town-bound route will be affected to facilitate road widening and the construction of an elevated intersection connecting to THE LIGHT Waterfront Penang.
The lane closures will occur during off-peak hours, from 10:00pm to 5:00am, to minimize disruptions. IJM Land has developed a comprehensive traffic management plan to ensure smooth traffic flow and mitigate any inconvenience to road users. The company requests public cooperation and understanding as these improvements are critical for enhancing road capacity and connectivity.
The construction is part of a broader infrastructure project aimed at supporting the growing traffic demands and improving the overall road network in the area.
